I've taken care of my two dogs over the past five years. This has included all of their care and training. Additionally, I've taken care of neighbors dogs providing services such as drop in visits and dog walking. I currently am studying to be a professional dog trainer and a veterinary technician so I can bring the knowledge I have and am learning when I am with your pets. I work with all kinds of dogs from puppies to senior dogs. I take my dogs to dog classes, so, I am training my dogs almost every day. Also I walk my dogs and practice loose leash walking with my dogs as well. I am the one at home who takes care of my dogs by feeding them, playing with them, getting them dog play dates, brushing them, bathing them, taking them to the groomer, and taking them to the vet. We have a very consistent routine. Right now I go to school part time so I do have time in my schedule to add dog walking and drop in visits. I am available during the week as well as weekends. Right know I am available only after 8 am and before 4 pm. I do take evening classes. I use a mix of training methods called force free positive reinforcement training, relationship training, and clicker training. Drop in visits include feeding your dog, giving your dog water, giving your dog medications, letting your dog outside to go to the bathroom, a small training session, and a small play session. When I walk my dogs and clients dogs, I like to use a method called loose leash walking. The dog walks on the left side of me, the leash is loose, and I do counter conditioning, desensitization, classical conditioning, and operant conditioning. We work on redirecting when the dog pulls and redirecting when the dog reacts. When it is too hot to walk, I usually take the dog outside and then we go inside to practice loose leash walking.
