Hello! Spending time with dogs brings me so much joy. I intend to give my doggie clients on Rover as much love, patience and attention as I would my own dog. I also intend to send you dog pictures and updates throughout our adventures and play times so you can be assured that your dog is having fun and in good hands. I realized I’m am a RARE FIND on Rover because I have NO other pets and no roommates- meaning when your pup or pups come to me, they will have all the 1:1 time. No risk of your dogs getting attacked or not getting along with other dogs or cats. (If there ever is Rover dog overlap I’ll let you. My rates are the same as a typical dog hotel in LA, except instead of your dog being locked in a fake “luxury” closet all day, they’re in my safe, quiet, comfy, well decorated home with room to play and run around. I’m trying to reduce my enormous student loan debt, so while I do have a day job, this side income is important to me. I live in a nice, updated, very clean apartment in Marina Del Rey. I’ve seen dogs who me visit easily make themselves at home at my place. I work as a flexible, salaried engineer mostly from home. My home is a very clean, comfortable environment that I’ve put a lot of effort and money into, and as a result, I require that dogs who stay with me are 100% potty trained, especially since I will commit to taking them out to pee and on walks 3-4 times a day minimum. Unfortunately, I’ve had owners lie to me about this and not supply pee pads(or the dogs don’t use them), please please do not be dishonest with me regarding your dogs’ level of house training (for house stays this isn’t a requirement). I'm very active and I enjoy running, hiking and spending time outside. I intend to be active with your dog as well (if they enjoy it). I often take dogs I get on walks by the beach. I grew up rescuing giant Alaskan Malamutes in Portland, OR and am very familiar with dealing with dogs who can tend to pull, have a stubborn side and will coat every piece of your clothing in dog hair. I'm luckily not allergic to pet dander, and will let the dog sleep in the same bed as me. I have experience dog-sitting small to medium to extra large dogs, including dogs with special needs. I‘ve also fostered 2 huskies last year for Shadow Husky Rescue that I pulled from kill shelters in LA, days before they were scheduled to be euthanized.
