Pet care experience
Between working at a boarding kennel, at veterinary clinics, and happily serving my old neighborhood as the go-to pet sitter, I have gained extensive amounts of experience working with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I am a vet student so I am confident in a wide variety of medical situations, and I have a lot of experience with positive reinforcement training with my own animals. I like to approach each pet in my care with an understanding that every dog is different- some are happy-go-lucky, some take longer to warm up to strangers, but each one deserves the same quality of care, respect and patience. I also understand how important routines are to the comfort and happiness of our pets. Whether it is a nice leisurely walk, easy jog, game of tug or fetch, or simply hanging out with lots of petting, I will be happy to do whatever your dog needs. I am out of school for the summer, so I have lots of time to spend with the pets in my care! As for my own pets, I have a rescue Bernese Mountain Dog, so big dog's aren't a problem! I have also had cats and a variety of small animals (a hedgehog, hamsters, and fish). Additionally, I have worked at a horse stable and dairy farm for a number of years.
