Pet care experience
I am a part-time college student working towards a degree in Fine Arts living in Chevy Chase, Maryland. I have had many pets of my own and have volunteered at the Houston Humane Society working primarily with dogs, and have worked in a Veterinary Clinic as a kennel assistant. I have been trained to give dogs baths as well as administer medications. I have also done work with horses (although I don't think that will be relevant). Working with animals and having them around brings me so much joy! I have my own car as a means for reliable transportation. My schedule is very flexible (I have classes on Tuesday and Thursdays starting January 22nd). I would love to meet and care for your pet!

Let me know if your dog is okay with other dogs and if it is okay for them to socialize if we encounter another dog on a walk. If your dog has an injury, let me know so that I can best support them. I would also like to know if your dog is a rescue (I love rescues) or if they have any sort of trauma response. Some dogs are sensitive to touch in specific areas, and I wouldn't want to freak them out.
A typical day
I have some experience training dogs, so I do not let them be out of control or pull excessively on walks. However, I generally like to let them explore freely! Indoors, I can't think of anything that's more fun than playing with a dog. If your pet has toys and likes to play I would love to give them some fun exercise.
