Hi, thanks for considering us to take care of a beloved member of your family. I, Nicole, grew up with lots of pets (dogs, cats, reptiles, horse, cows, fish, small mammals, amphibians). I have had five dogs throughout my life. I have been with the same vet all my life too. If you need a vet referral, please let me know. I have turned my husband, Vlad, into an animal lover as well. Right now we are just a cat household, but we would love having a dog or two around. If you dog loves cats, then this is a great environment. We do use our guest room for dogs only staying here a short while. Most dogs find it less stressful if we spend our time in there. But after a day or two of adjustments, many dogs love hanging with our cats. We have a small garden out back, and are home throughout the day. I work mainly from home, and he is a grad student. He has a little brother and I do have a niece that come by, mainly during holidays and weekends. But anyone entering our home is pet friendly ,or else they wouldn't be here. We spend a minimum of four hours a day with your pup one on one, but usually it turns into six or eight if not longer. They will be showered with lots of love and attention. Our Personal Policies To Make Sure Everyone has a great stay: -All dogs coming into our home via daycare or overnight visits must have a meet and greet first. If we are only stopping by your home, we would prefer one but not require it. This is to make sure everyone gets along and help with any anxiety your dog(s) might have with a new person. Feel free to plan a meet and greet before you might even need our services in case you find yourself in an emergency and need a quick drop off on short notice. -We ask that all dogs be potty trained. Accidents happen, and usually do. However, it makes everyone's stay more enjoyable if they are. -Please make sure your pups aren't in need of flea treatments. Itchy house-guests make for sad ones, plus my cats thank you. We use diatomaceous earth in our own home for a preventative. Please consult your vet, for your options. -We prefer them comfortable on a leash or harness, but would be happy to work with you to get them leash trained too. We love long walks through our neighborhood and in the parks nearby. -Please have them chipped or have a tagged collar for their safety. Things to Bring For Overnight Guests and Daycare: -Please leave contact information for you and your vet. We have Skype, WeChat, Whatsapp, etc. So even if you are flying international, we can find ways of keeping in contact. We will update you regularly on your pet's stay, and send lots of cute pictures too. Once booked we will send you all of our information. -Food and if they have preferences on their food and water bowls, best to bring them too. If not we have extras that our kitties don't mind sharing. -A bed or blanket if they use one. We find most pups like staying in our guest bedroom where there are ton of pillows on the bed. -Their crate if they are crate trained. In case of emergency or travel, we have one very large soft sided crate we can use. -A favorite toy or two. We also have lots of toys to share too. -Their leash or harness. -Puppy pads if they use them. Our ultimate goal is foster relationships with pets and their owners so everyone can have peace of mind and have happy memories.
