We have an extremely relaxed and loving home. My husband works full time and I am a freelance Script Supervisor in the film industry. I usually only work a few days a month which leaves me loads of time to spend with our two Basset Hounds Marvin(5) and Otis(3). We are very affectionate with all dogs and love snuggles and belly rubs. We have a very strict "dogs ARE allowed on all furniture" policy in our home. They're more than welcome to lay on the floor or on a dog bed, but we would much rather they be up on the couch lounging with us. So, if you don't allow your dogs on your furniture, this may not be the place for them because we will most definitely send them back to you with bad furniture habits. Weather permitting, we go for 30 minute walks every evening on the paseo's that run alongside Valencia Valley Elementary School and the park that is right next to it. We have a private enclosed front courtyard with artificial turf and a backyard with real grass where the dogs can run around. However, this is definitely a place for less active dogs that enjoy a very relaxed "couch potato" type of environment. I am extremely neurotic when it comes to the safety of any dogs that are at my home, so whether it's to play or just a potty break, no dogs are ever left unattended while outside. Even though we have an extremely secure yard, you just never know what could happen, so it's not a chance I take. Our Bassets Marvin and Otis are our babies and are extremely lazy and spoiled. They are very sweet and get along with all kinds of dogs from Maltese's to Pits to Weimaraner's. Although, Marvin is quite curious and tends to overstay his welcome in a new dogs space. He likes to sniff new dogs in the face relentlessly for the first 10 minutes or so of first meeting them so they'll understand that no matter who they are or where they come from, he wants to be immediate best friends. Here are some additional things I would like you to know... - I will read through your profile and make sure that I am aware of any dietary restrictions that your furbaby may have. If not specified in your profile that it is not okay or told to me verbally by you, please know that your furbaby will be receiving different kinds of yummy doggy treats during their visit. All treats I serve are made in America and I do not allow rawhide of any kind in my home. - Although my profile states that I will take up to 2 dogs for doggy day care and boarding, please know that I will only accept 2 dogs if they are from the same home. I want to make sure that my time spent with your dog doesn't involve any potential stress for them of adding another new dog personality to the mix. So, if you book with me and only have one dog, you can rest easy knowing that your furbaby will be the only other one here besides Marvin and Otis. - For doggy day care visits I am very flexible with drop off and pick up times. - For overnight boarding visits I am very flexible with drop off times. If you will be arriving after 12:00pm on pick up day, please know that there will be an additional $20 charge.
