My boyfriend Greg and I live in a one-bedroom apartment in Waltham, MA. Our building is dog friendly with lots of pet accessible amenities. There are two large spacious parks within a 2 minute walk from our front door and we sit right along the Charles River bike trail. I work full-time from home - making me accessible throughout the days for walks, visits, and overnight home stays. We are BIG animal people. We love all sorts of furry friends, and simply do not walk by a dog without having to pet it (children at heart maybe?). Unfortunately we are waiting until we rescue a dog of our own, but excited to use Rover to sill get the enjoyment of seeing a furry friend throughout the days and help someone with their busy schedules! Both of us have had many years of animal care experience. During the past 15 years, I was the neighborhood pet-sitter, with many hours spent watching dogs and cats overnight, which included daily walks and visits. Ironically, Greg was on the Veterinary school track until he decided to do human medicine after graduate school. He has worked at Tufts large animal hospital, VNA animal hospital, and has logged hundreds of hours working hands on with both pets, rescue and stray animals.
