- Hi my name is Nicole Matos I am 21 years old. I graduated from Waterbury Arts Magnet High School. I became a student in Animal Behavioral College to study how to become a dog groomer. - I have had a strong connection to the animal field my passion growing up was to find a way to work with animals either through vet school, becoming a vet or vet tech or animal trainer or groomer I went with Groomer. - My experience with animals has been since the age of 10-11 I started off watching animals with my grandmother who is a pet sitter and house cleaner. I was basically raised around animals thanks to my family and grandparents for having animals for a majority of my childhood. - As for my experience or knowledge of taking care of animals let along special needs animals I do my research based on the animal at the time. I owned a special needs rescue dog who suffered from seizures at the age of 2. I raised her from a puppy at the time before her medical issues appeared she lived to be about 10 years of age and lived a happy long full life she was a good campaign for me she was a very smart dog and my friend. - I currently rescued 2 other dogs and trained them as well now I am down to one dog at the time. - I take the care and the safety of the animals seriously with their happiness and wellbeing taken into consideration I am always willing to give meds if needed and update the owner on a regular basis. - I am available to watch all sizes and breeds of dogs from puppies to adult and kittens from cats. - I used to volunteer with Animals for life a cat shelter in Naugatuck Ct my job was to feed the cats to make sure they had food and water, cleaning out their litter boxes with clean litter and mark on a chart if they ate drank or used the bathroom. - At animals for life I was in charge of checking on the new cats making sure they where comfortable and spending time socializing them around people. - I am currently looking for work as of now my schedule is open from weekdays to weekends. - I am flexible at watching more than one animal at a time if the owner has more than one pet. - I have a fenced in yard of my own. - I currently own one dog she is okay at times with other dogs. - I offer many different options when it comes to dogs such as walking, dog grooming, day care at the owners home. - I play with the dogs or cats. - I will give each animal individual time and attention and care.
