Dogs are not pets, they’re family

Pet care experience

I have had a dog my entire life & cannot imagine being without one. I miss my dog more than the rest of my family when I am away from home. I make sure she always has food & water, let her outside every few hours, take her on walks, take her to the vet, play with her, & cuddle a lot. I have been dog sitting on Rover since October 2017. Before Rover, I had dog sat for several coworkers. A friend told me about Rover, & I realized how perfect of a job it would be for me. I want people to know their dogs are well taken care of while they are out of town. I love taking pictures of the pet(s) & sending them to their owners. I know I miss my dog when I am away from her, & pictures of her make me happy, so I like to do the same for other people. I work in the medical field & currently work 8 hour days Monday-Friday. I can dog sit during the week but it is easier on weekends as I do not have work (or if I work a Saturday, it’s only for 4 hours). I always communicate what my work schedule is like during the dates you request me to watch your pet(s). Growing up, my family had smaller dogs (shih tzu poodle mixes), but in March 2019 we adopted what we believe is a lab-beagle mix. I am comfortable watching dogs of all sizes. I am comfortable administering liquid, pill, and injected medications. I am comfortable taking care of cats and other animals as well. Please reach out with any questions (:

I really can't say enough great things about Nicole. She is just fantastic! She's in constant communication, sends lots of pictures, takes care of everything requested and more, and she clearly loves my boys while I'm away.

Nicole was so fantastic I wish I could give her 10 stars!!! She was in constant communication and sent lots of pictures. I was able to relax and enjoy vacation because I didn't have to wonder how things were going. She took such great care of Ozzy and Odin, they even had to ride out the tornado warning together. I would absolutely love to have her stay with them again and really hope she will be available.

Nicole did a great job taking care of my labrador retriever during a drop-in visit. She took plenty of photos to document the visit, walked her, and kept her safe. Thank you!

Nicole was wonderful! She took great care of my 17-year old Bichon while I went away for the weekend. She sent photos and updates, and even helped with an issue I was having at the house, which I greatly appreciated. I would definitely request her again, and recommend her to friends and family.

I always watch the dogs at their owners house as I feel they are most comfortable in their own surroundings. I always make sure they have fresh water. I feed them based on the owners request. I let them out every 2-4 hours as needed when I am at the house & do not leave them alone for more than the requested hours by the owner. I always send a lot of pictures too (:

Information Nicole L. would like to know about your pet

How long can the dog(s) go without being let out? Are they crated during the day and/or overnight? Are they potty trained? Do they bite? Do they get along with other dogs/animals? How often do they need to be fed? Do they take any medications? No breed preferences.. I love all dogs :)

A typical day

Each dog is different, so it depends on the dog. If they require a lot of walks or even runs, I will do those. If they are more low-key and like to cuddle all day, I will do that as well. I will ask you where you normally walk and for how long to get a better sense of what to do when I walk the dog. I can play fetch and tug-of-war if the dog(s) enjoy that as well.

As mentioned above, it is easier for me to dog sit on weekends as during the week I work 8 hour days. Depending on the location, I may be able to go let the dog out during lunch but there is no guarantee.
