Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Nicole. I have 5 years of volunteer experience in animal shelters and over 15 years of pet sitting and pet ownership experience. In shelters, I specialize in socializing dogs and cats. For petsitting, I have cared for dogs, cats, rats, and more. I spend most of my free time with animals, including my Rhodesian Ridgeback (Bailey) and my rat (Stripe), as well as a whole host of furry shelter friends. I love connecting with animals and learning how to work with their specific needs to make them feel comfortable, confident, and of course, loved! I have experience with large dogs, and have worked with nervous and reactive dogs as well. I can't wait to meet your furry best friend!

Nicole is amazing with our bulldog staffy mix. He loves and trusts her and she’s very communicative with updates and schedule changes.
Nicole was fantastic! So thankful she was available and knew she would look after our cat Sheba well. Felt confident and will definitely request Nicole to care for her again.
Nicole always does a great job of taking care of our 50lbs German Shepard, Pumpkin. Nicole is also great about responding quickly and keeping us in the loop. We highly recommend her!

When I check in on dogs and cats at your home, I make sure to learn as much about them as I can before I arrive (favorite scratch spots, belly rubs permitted or off limits, behaviors that make them uncomfortable, etc.). I always enter cautiously and let the pet approach me. On walks, I work with the dog's comfort level on where we adventure to, and who they feel like saying hello to. I always keep the dog away from off-leash pets and strangers. I only invite others to say hello if the dog is comfortable. I never take the dogs off leash.

Would love to know anything the pet may be reactive/sensitive to so we can make sure they are as comfortable as possible (kids, other dogs, cars, sounds, skateboards etc.). And of course...please tell me their all time favorite snack. :) Thank you!
A typical day
Your furry pal and I will have a blast. We’ll chase some squirrels, do some people watching, roll in the grass, tell each other our deepest darkest secrets, and show everyone in the neighborhood how cute we are. And of course - we’ll definitely get all our steps in!
