Pet care experience
Hi thank you so much for considering me for your beloved(s). Please read thru my profile as I provide all the details you’ll need to see if we may be a good fit before requesting, thank you. Whether it’s an adventure day and/or slumber parties, building a relationship with your pup is my passion, for me it’s all about building a quality long term relationship/local and returning clients are my favorite. I’m a very active long time resident of SB, the pack and I head out on two walks daily once in the morning then again later afternoon post lunch and siesta. We walk on leash to Mesa Lane Beach/Douglas Preserve/Hikes/More Mesa and once we arrive at one of these off-leash designated areas they are free to run off leash, I release them from leashes to romp and play. It’s important your pup is comfortable being off leash in these designated areas. I generally have 4-7 pups total in my care. It’s important that your pup(s) would dig a group. Most do! Day or overnight stays include: (Packages for weekly daycare are available/inquire) All the cuddles, regular meals, 2+ walks a day, 5+miles, social time w other dogs both here in the yard and at the dog beach/park. I love to run, walk or loaf around with the pups, hang out at home in the big fenced yard with them. I’m very blessed to call my home a puppers paradise: Pullers cannot be tolerated at all in packs(easy walk harnesses, or prong collars are an excellent option) I generally have 4 pups total for boarding and 2 or 3 more for daycare. During the holidays there’s usually more. But 6 for overnights and/or 8 total is my maximum. If your pup needs less exercise or a safe place to chill, not a problem, they can relax here. Just let me know their needs/what suits them best. I’ve hosted many happy seniors/lap dogs/couch potatoes I’ve loved animals of all types ever since I can remember and cared for them my whole adult life. I started here on Rover in July of ‘19 after my boxer passed in May ‘19, she lived to be 15 (: I cared for her and all my friends pups(honorary aunty) I am comfortable with all ages; puppies to seniors, or if your dog needs medication/injections, not a problem. I have had a lot of experience thru the years with many different breeds and personality types. I will care for yours as if it were my own and spoil them with fun and love. If you are looking for cat drop in visits, I love cats too! They are a wonderful and different energy than dogs ;) will care for your cat as my own
Reviews
There are moments in life when circumstances prevent us from bringing our beloved pets along, and the daunting task of finding a reliable and loving dog sitter becomes a source of stress. However, fear not, because Nicole is here to save the day as an exceptional dog sitter! Nicole understands the importance of providing the same level of love and care that we give to our precious fur babies. One of the outstanding qualities of Nicole is that she goes above and beyond to ensure your peace of mind. She kindly invited us to her place, allowing us to see firsthand the environment where our dog would be staying and giving us the opportunity to meet her in person. This considerate gesture immediately put us at ease and helped us make an informed decision. During our time away, Nicole maintained regular contact with us, ensuring that we were always in the loop. She took the time to send us delightful pictures and heartwarming videos, which reassured us that our furry friend was happy and comfortable in her care. Knowing that Piper was in such good hands brought us immense relief, allowing us to fully enjoy our time away. We cannot express enough gratitude to Nicole for the exceptional care she provided to Piper. Her commitment and dedication to our dog's well-being were truly remarkable. We wholeheartedly recommend Nicole as a dog sitter to anyone in need, as she exceeded our expectations and put our worries to rest. Without a doubt, we will enthusiastically choose Nicole for future dog-sitting needs. Thank you, Nicole, for being an absolute lifesaver!
Nicole created a very fun weekend with my dogs and was willing to work to help make sure they had the best time. I’m very grateful for the way she loves my pups!
Nicole was amazing with our pups. I was able to have daily updates with pictures and I felt confident they were loved and well taken care of! Would definitely have Nicole watch our pups again when we come down to Santa Barbara.
We boarded with Nicole last year and I just realized I never wrote a review. It was lovely. She provides the right combination of structure and freedom. The dogs get great exercise and she was super flexible and confident with our senior dog Bennie who was lovely in his own way but a bit of a grump with some dogs.

I have a small but very comfortable home and a large fully fenced secure yard with lots of shade, many different plants, orange tree, huge maple tree and many little nooks to explore, it is a mix of bark, gravel and travertine pavers. Pups can have indoor outdoor access, or if needed can be enclosed in or outside. I’m happy to let your dog on the furniture or keep them off the furniture if you prefer. I live near Mesa lane Beach and the Douglas Preserve and will take your dog for walks there every day. If your pup is active it’s important they are comfortable in these off-leash environments. I also enjoy hiking w the pups as well. I will make sure your pup is comfortable with lotsa love, cuddles and its food/bedding. We have plenty of toys here better to keep yours at home. Whatever your dogs needs are, I’ve got you.

Information Nicole I. would like to know about your pet
Do your pups get on well with other pups/humans? **flea treatment and Bordatella vaccine (kennel cough) necessary I do prefer puppers that are well-trained on and off leash, especially with large breeds and well-socialized with other pups. Beyond the usual traits that dogs display, I do find it very helpful to know whether there are specific signs or situations to look out for to keep your pup joyous and secure. Any helpful information/stories/encounters will only ensure that your darling is as safe with me as possible!

My schedule is flexible as dog care is my primary focus: We go for a big morning outing and again in the later afternoon/evening to romp and play and sometimes a 3rd after dinner, 5+ miles a day lunch time is for napping and relaxing. If you are boarding your pup it’s important that they will be happy to hang here with the other dogs without me on occasion I do have a social life and enjoy going to a dance class or dinner w friends in the evenings a couple times a week after I’ve worn out the pups. For 25 years I’ve been a spiritual guide, death doula, bodyworker and yoga teacher and still do that about 5 hours a week here and there. It’s important that your pup is comfortable here with the others if I’m not here for a short period of time, most days I’m away from house 1-2hrs max doing errands etc, never away from house more than 4 hours on special occasion, and this does not apply to daycare, which is 9-4, never away from them for more than an hour during daycare and often not away at all. If they are more comfortable in their crate when I’m away, that’s an option. I host a number of crate trained pups and am happy to support your pup if this is where they find comfort. If your dog is a senior and needs a short walk around the block separate from the pack walks that can be easily accommodated. Please request it. Also there are plenty of nooks in the home for them to relax away from the bigger group.
