Big Breed Dog Sitter w/ a Big Heart

Pet care experience

I have been a dog sitter for as long as I can remember, starting back when I was child and became the local neighborhood dog walker. I've always had a soft spot for larger breeds such as Bernese Mountain Dogs, Saint Bernards, Newfoundlands, Mastiffs, German Shepards, and Great Danes. I personally had a 165lb Saint Bernard, which made me even more comfortable handling very large breeds. I've worked with dogs of all ages, dogs who had never met me before as well as dogs who I've known for years. I am comfortable administering medications as needed. I have such a big soft spot for big dogs and this is an easy way for me to spend time doing something I love while providing a beneficial service to the greater community. Having had a large breed myself, I truly understand the value and importance of having a trustworthy dog sitter who you know can handle your large breed. I would love to be that person for large breed owners in the Denver metro area.

"Responsible and loving dog caregiver" is an understatement for Nicole! She is the most enthusiastic dog lover I have ever met, overcome with joy at the mere sight of a new dog to meet. If you hire Nicole, your biggest concern will be that your pet will start to love her more than you. She is a kind, responsible person with great attention to detail and clear, transparent communication.

Nicole is a huge dog lover with an equally huge heart! She has a large dog of her own, so she is well-versed in dog caretaking. She will also go above and beyond in taking care of your dog, making sure they get plenty of exercise and affection while taking care of the dog.

I lovingly care for every dog as if they are my own. I follow the care instructions provided by my client and make an effort to update them on their dog's care as often as desired. I am double vaccinated (can provide vaccination card upon request) and I take COVID-19 very seriously. I will wear a mask if desired and sanitize my hands before entering your home or tending to your dog's needs. Upon request I will happily get a COVID-19 test before caring for your dog as well.

Information Nicole G. would like to know about your pet

It's important for me to know what the dog's needs are: how often they generally need to go out, when and how much they eat, if they have health conditions or concerns I should know about, and if they are friendly with other dogs/people. It is also important for me to understand my client's needs and expectations: how often they expect me to be in touch, how often would they like updates, and any rules/expectations for the home such as removing shoes prior to entry, wearing a mask, and where to put dog waste.

A typical day

Your dog and I will enjoy quality playtime and bonding time. Health permitting, we will be physically active together, whether that means taking a walk, a jog, playing tug of war, or playing fetch. I also love to mentally stimulate dogs with various little games or tricks with components that they can figure out by making connections. We will go to local dog parks if it's not too hot out, or play outside with a hose or a sprinkler. If your dog is more low-energy, I'm happy to be a couch potato with them and provide them with ample snuggles and some light brushing.

I work remotely and am my own boss during the week, giving me ample opportunities to get outside, go on walks, play with, and love on your pup. I'm an early riser, so I'm happy to start my day with a walk and some playtime with your dog. On weekends I work from 10:30am-5pm and can work around that schedule to care for your dog.
