Pet care experience
I have a dog of my own who I’ve been taking care of since she was 6 weeks old! I’ve been doing a lot of training with her and she knows many commands. I’ve also been around dogs my whole life and taken care of many friend and family’s dogs! I also walked dogs at the Virginia Tech vet school for many years as an undergraduate. I’m a lifelong pet lover and will be sure to show your dog lots of love and attention!

I live in a townhouse with a small backyard. We have access to walking trails, dog parks, and other fenced in areas for dogs to play. I have a housemate who also loves dogs and will give extra love! We do have a golden retriever (named Kaylie). She’s extremely friendly and gets along with both humans and other dogs. She is typically very submissive and will greet other dogs by just laying down and letting them come sniff her. She would love to have a friend to play with!

I’d like to know the personality of the dog so that I know how best to approach them! Are they cautious of new people or do they get really excited? Also is there anything that your dog is afraid of? How are they on walks?
A typical day
We will go on lots of walks and go to a fenced in area to play fetch. They’ll have lots of time to play inside too. I play a lot of fetch and tug of war with my dog! When they’re ready for a nap I’ll be happy to have them cuddle up on my lap while I pet them :)
