Since I was a young teen in high school, I have provided loving care for dogs and cats on occasions where family members or friends were away from home (other small pets as well). Most of my experience lies in cat care, but I have also looked after small to large-sized dogs. I have two cats of my own, and because they have had many health problems I am very experienced with giving both topical and oral medication to cats. With my current experience, I have provided care for pets as little as a few days and up to two weeks. My priority is the health and happiness of all pets, and I will care for them with the same compassion as my own. My experience with pet sitting includes drop-in visits and in-home 24 hour care (at home of client). My approach is to care for the pet in their daily routine as close as possible to that of their owner to ease the stress of their family being away. I can also provide more specialized care that may be needed, such as administering medication or special feeding instructions. When caring for a pet in their home, I will additionally take care of possible home needs for the client- such as watering gardens, lawn mowing, collecting mail/packages and basic indoor cleaning. My personal motto is to leave a home cleaner than when I entered it.
