Experienced Pet Care Professional!

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Nicole. I have worked as an animal care professional for 9 years (since I was 16!), at organizations such as the Animal Rescue League of Boston shelter and the MSPCA-Angell Behavior department. I am very comfortable handling and caring for most domestic animals; dogs, cats, reptiles, smallies, birds, livestock, etc. I am quite patient and enjoy working with shy and anxious animals. I have some background in training dogs and cats using science-backed, rewards-based methods. In the past I have very much enjoyed doing pet sitting gigs, but had to put it on hold for a few years while working full-time. Recently I went back to school to study for my master's in psychology at Brandeis. I am thrilled to open up my schedule to pet sitting once again! At home, I have a sweet kitty named Rue. My beloved dog recently passed away, and while I'm not ready for another of my own, I look forward to taking hikes and playing fetch with your four legged friends! I am fully vaccinated against COVID and take precautions seriously. While I do attend in-person classes, all students/staff at my school are required to be vaccinated as well & we wear masks indoors.

Nicole did a great job checking in on my cat Fox while I was away. Fox needs fluids and an inhaler so I always get a little nervous leaving her but Nicole made me feel very comfortable. Fox warmed up to her immediately and I appreciate the updates and photos during the visit.

Nicole is an excellent pet sitter! Our active cat requires lots of play, exercise and attention. We came home to a content and sleepy cat and a clean apartment. We will definitely hire Nicole again!

Nicole took amazing care of our pups over Christmas at our house, even though a last minute booking. She sent lots of pics and left our home in amazing shape. I highly recommend you hire Nicole if you are looking for somebody to keep your pets safe and loved while you're gone.

Nicole's first walk with my dog went really well. She was very patient with all of his quirks, of which there are plenty! I feel very comfortable leaving my pets in her care.

I will never ever ever discriminate against breeds!! Of course, I want to know everything about your pet in order to provide the best care possible. Energy levels, medical conditions, fears, commands you are working on, etc.

I love going on hikes and exploring new places like the woods and beaches/ponds. I would be happy to take your pup on such adventures and will always ask permission before driving with your pet.

Currently I am a full-time grad student at Brandeis with a relatively flexible schedule. I am normally on campus for 2-6 hours per week day. Most of my weekends, nights, and mornings are open. I should be able to work around almost any pets' care schedules! I am unable to board cats or dogs in my house at this time, however I could possibly board caged pets.
