BEWARE. Entirely do not recommend this sitter. After seeing so many good reviews and that the profile mentioned experience with anxious dogs we thought this would be a good match. We booked Nicolas for a two week stay after our kennel was full and hoped everything would be okay. He told us he had plenty of experience and not to worry. We dropped our dog off and six hours later, at midnight, we get messages asking about how our dog behaves at night. Nicolas told us that our dog had been whining and that he, the sitter, was unable to sleep. After saying that our dog didn’t usually act that way and was probably just stressed about being in a new place he continued to ask for advice that we didn’t have. Out of fear of what might happen to our dog in the next two weeks based on the sitters impatience with him during this short interaction, we went at midnight and picked up our dog. 6 hours into a two week booking. Our dog had a bloody scratch across his nose from a cat at the sitters house that we were not made aware of and it has now scarred. Nicolas begged us not to leave a bad review and promised to return our money after he received it leaving us his phone number. Adamant about us not going through the app. Stressed about now having to find last minute booking five hours before our flight, we left the sitter and decided to worry about it later. Now that the booking is over, we reached out to Nicolas about refunding us three separate times over the course of three days and we have not received a response. We filed a support claim and are waiting to see how that goes. Our first experience with rover and definitely our last. Wouldn’t be surprised if Nicolas scams people like this regularly. How obnoxious.

Nick was absolutely FANTASTIC!! He was super flexible with my schedule and was willing to work with a handful of confusing travel changes I was dealing with on my end. Monte loved his stay and looked great when I picked him... he even smelled fantastic as Nick told me he gave him a bath just before I got there!! If I'm back in the Fort Meyers area, I will definitely be booking Nick again.
