I’ve grown up with family dogs and have always loved being around them and looking after them. When I was young we had the sweetest Airedale terrier called Rufus, then we had a very active Springador called Hardy and my parents now have two retired racing Greyhounds called Kim and Baz who are mostly very lazy but if they see something to chase they’re off in a flash! I also have a pup of my own now called Pippa, she’s a Miniature Schnauzer and loves the company of other dogs which is partly the reason I decided to start dog sitting. As a dog owner I’m experienced in feeding, walking, training, socialisation and playing games for mental stimulation. I’m able to be flexible and can look after dogs during working hours, over night and at the weekends. I just ask for at least a day notice. I have a house with a small garden (fully fenced) and a warm, sunny conservatory with a sofa that my dog loves to snooze on and will be happy to share. Pippa loves doggie companions and is very friendly, though I’m easily able to separate parts of the house when needed so the dogs can be fed separately etc. and we will need to do a meet-and-greet just to ensure they get on before I look after any other dogs. There are several local parks which I use for walks and can vary it depending on the needs of the dog (for example, if they like to play with other dogs or if they’re better in quiet areas). I’m also happy to continue/reinforce any training you’re doing with your dog, just let me know. I’m able to be flexible and can look after your dog on week days, weekends, overnight or longer stays. If you let me know your dog’s usually routine we can adapt and work to that to help them feel at home. I have a house with a small fully fenced garden and a sofa in my sunny conservatory that my pup loves to snooze on and will be happy to share as she loves doggie company.
