Nicky was not at his apartment to meet us during our agreed upon time, and kept saying that it was due to his phone once he showed up (roughly an hour late). His missing our agreed upon meeting time resulted in us being rushed to make it to the airport, and it caused undue stress which made for a bad first impression - especially considering it was our first Rover experience. Once inside, his space was messier and smaller than I was comfortable with. However, our dog is small and good natured so it likely did not affect her in the slightest bit - it was more a matter of professionalism and peace of mind given the situation. Additionally, he did not follow our feeding instructions for our dog, as we provided wet and dry food, and the wet food was returned unopened. He did send a video and a picture over the weekend, and apart from the initial no-show/unresponsiveness he was responsive once he had our pup. All of that said, our pup was returned safe and sound. Nicky was even accommodating when we arrived back in town early and wanted to pick our dog up a half-hour early. He also seemed kind, and overall like he meant well. We won't be booking with Nicky again, and are hesitant to use Rover again. Our review is not meant as any kind of judgment, just a vocalization of things which I would want to not when looking for a sitter in the future.
