Loving Sitter ~ Flexible Schedule
Pet care experience
Animal companionship has always been an integral part of my life. Starting in a small town in Hawaii where I grew up and now as a pet sitter and dog walker based in California, life would not be the same without the eternal optimism and joy that pets offer. My desire to help local animals led me to valuable work experience in a variety of settings. These roles have included an adoption specialist for the East Bay SPCA, a customer care associate for Wag Hotels in Oakland, a dog walker for Dog Walks SF and Doggy Lama Pet Care, and now as a pet sitter and dog walker based in the Bay Area. In addition to the services I provide on Rover, I also work and am insured under the pet care collective, Yeah Dawg! Pet Care. This collaboration between a small group of friends and animal lovers consists of dog walkers, vet techs, and pet sitters looking to provide the highest quality of animal care to clients in the SF Bay Area and beyond.
Reviews
Nicky was responsive and went above and beyond when taking care of my cat Huey while I was on vacation for nearly 2 weeks. Would definitely recommend her for you cat sitting needs.
Nicky was wonderful! She took great care of our dog and cat for 3 days. She was very attentive and provided us with lots of pictures/updates. Our pets liked her right away and they were both so happy and relaxed when we got home. We will definitely be reaching out to her in the future. Thanks Nicky!
Nicky T established an immediate bond with Finn. Finn is looking forward to more walks together.
Nicky is excellent and by far our most trusted walker/sitter. She is professional, kind, and goes above and beyond. I only have good things to say about her!

In addition to following your pet's usual care routine I will try my best to go above and beyond to make them feel comfortable, well cared for, safe and happy. In the past this has looked like extra cuddles if they need them, tasty treats if they are able to have them, lots of exercise if they are able to, and car rides if they enjoy them.
Information Nicky T. would like to know about your pet
I think it's important for me to know how your pet usually responds to new people and situations. A few questions I may ask are: Have they been watched by a pet sitter in the past? How did it go? What motivates them? Do they have any separation anxiety, and if so are there activities that help soothe them? What are their experiences with other animals? If I know a bit of basic info I can make sure to properly prepare for our time together to make sure it's as fun and safe as possible.
A typical day
My main focus is making sure your pet is feeling happy and well adjusted. This might look like walks around the neighborhood, playing fetch at a park, or a tug of war play session in the house or yard. We might also go to a trail or dog park nearby to meet other pups, stretch our legs, and get outside if this is part of your usual routine.

Availability
My flexible schedule allows me to provide outstanding care for your pets. I’m able to offer bathroom breaks every 2-4 hours and take special care to follow their preferred routine as closely as possible. Additionally, I love to stay active and get out in nature, so a favorite past time has been hiking with dogs in beautiful places.
