Pet care experience
Hello! I’ve been a dog lover my entire 34 yrs of life. I used to wash dogs at my moms dog grooming shop in the 90s while growing up. I grew up with dogs of all different sizes, but particularly small dogs. I got my first dog- a miniature long haired dachshund named Bill immediately after moving out of my parents house when I started college. Bill is still with me today and we have added a chihuahua and a Pom mix to the crew as well as a Maine cone mix cat: I specialize in small dogs, senior small dogs and special needs small dogs. I can administer medications including injections. I am a nurse (for humans, but I also have experience with administering meds to dogs) I look forward to meeting you and especially your furry family member!

Nickie and the gang graciously took our 18 yr old puppy, Jude, into their care while we were on a six day vacation. We will definitely be boarding with them again!
Nickie has always shown abundant compassion to animals. She has had several in her care over the years, with special medical and behavioral issues, and is always in tune with each animals specific needs. As the director of a non-profit animal rescue myself, there are few people I would trust to care for my animals in my absence but Nickie would definitely be one of them.
One of most loving dog person I know! Your dogs are in great hands with Nickie. I have known her for many, many years. You will never find anyone that cares or connects with animals the way she does. You just won't. The quality I like the best about Nickie is that our pet's welfare and comfort seems to be the first priority with Nickie, above all else. She cares about what is best for our pet, and will be flexible and helpful with any request for her care. Together with her knowledge and experience, I feel I can trust her completely. You won’t regret having her watch your fur babies.
As a pet owner herself, Nickie treats my fur babies just like her own! I have a VERY large gentle giant of a dog and one feisty cat and she handles them with kindness, compassion, and an experienced hand. To top things off, she also works in (human) healthcare so she has a keen eye to make sure your pets are well taken care of. 10/10 recommend Nickie M!

I have a large fenced in back yard and two friendly dogs under 11 pounds to keep your dog company on their visit. I feed twice a day but can adapt to what your dog is used to. My house is completely pet friendly with hardwood floors, dog friendly furniture, and multiple dog beds throughout. My couch and bed have dog stairs so the pups can roam freely. I enjoy hanging out with dogs and like to see them enjoying themselves.

A typical day
I love to take dogs across the street to the graveyard for walks when I get home around 2pm on weekdays. Then I hangout on the couch with the dogs as I finish my work day. Dinner is around 5 and then out into the backyard. Chill time is after this around 6. Dogs can come in and go out as they please until bedtime. I leave at 8:30 am most weekdays after morning feeding and a morning potty break.

I typically leave for work appointments around 10 am and get home around 2 pm on weekdays and am also available on weekends to watch your furry family members. I am usually home from 2 pm til 8 am the following day on weekdays and mostly all day on weekends. I live across the street from a graveyard and love to take the dogs for walks there frequently.
