Cozy Stay ♡ Daily Play

Pet care experience

I have personally taken care of dogs for 20 years, and professionally for a year now on Rover. I love dogs very much, and animal lovers are my favorite types of people. I worked in holistic pet food for 7 years, and helping people with their furry loved ones has always been my favorite part of any pet related industry experience I've had.

I was extremely pleased with the care our dog received when staying with Nickie. When I first met Nickie, I sensed that she was a caring, thoughtful, and gentle soul. I had no concerns about leaving our dog with her. I hope that Nickie will be available the next time we need a sitter.

Please make sure your dog is up to date on all vaccinations! Your dog will only be in good company. I have one corgi, Addie, & one mostly outdoor cat Eddie, who may or may not make an appearance during your dog's stay. If they become a regular, then Eddie will introduce himself and develop a report with your dog :) Learn more about Addie my corgi below in the "important to know" section below! My husband Zach is great with and loves dogs as well, and is here most nights and weekends. We have a ton of dog beds, blankets, and pillows, and love doggie cuddles on the couch, but not our bed. You may bring whatever bedding helps your pup feel cozy and happy. Even bring their crate/kennel if you like! I do not and will not use crates as punishment.

Information Nickie B. would like to know about your pet

● Is your dog a grazer? I can't leave food out, as my corgi will eat it in 2 seconds flat, so they need to be good eaters to stay here. ● Is your dog reactive? My corgi has a strong herding drive and is really fast - loves to play chase out back as long they don't mind getting barked at a bit! She is a little awkward socially, and has to show how tough she is to new dogs with low growls and showing teeth, so I can really only take mild mannered dogs. If you become a regular, she will remember and say hello and be so excited for slumber parties! ● Is your dog an escape artist? I never let dogs out back alone (or in the front yard without lead.) I have a rather large backyard that is mostly fenced in, with tightly congested trees and shrubs along the perimeter. There is one portion that dogs can get out of if they want to. In general I keep them away from the wooded areas, and dogs who are good listereners play out there all the time, no issue. I can also keep dogs on lead the whole time, but I won't be able to accommodate high energy dogs who are escape artists or do not listen.
