2020 - I hope everyone is safe and healthy. Due to our current time, boarding is spaced out a week between bookings. This gives me time to clean all around the dogs, and humans, and everything they get into. I will point this out, should your booking coincide with another, during our booking confirmation. Continue to be safe out there. I am the proud owner of a Jack Russell Terrier (Chappie) and 2 cats. I recently moved upstate, 6yrs now, to a lovely 3 acre farm. I have been caring for dogs and cats for over 13+ years. My main base was in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. I started off just visiting homes and taking dogs on walks, but my client list grew so fast that after 3 years, I started a doggy daycare (Monday-Friday) and boarding (prebooking) in my home. Daycare dogs were dropped off btwn 7-9:15am and picked up btwn 6-8pm. The dogs had full access to my enclosed back garden and 30-45 mins walks 3 times a day. I had staff to cover my clients that still needed home visits, and to help me walk the daycare dogs. I provide a calm and assertive leadership in a Cesar Milan style. Relax and feel secure, knowing your animal companion is individually cared for, fed, watered, walked, run, petted, trained, rested and understood. You can be sure while you are at work, or on vacation, that your family member will continue to be socialized and exercised. I am experienced with non socialized dogs, leash aggression, elderly and administering medicine. I have had to administer medicine via needle and orally. Nickey is absolutely awesome with pups! Our dog is high energy and anxious and she took great care of him. She sent lots of pictures and videos of Pippin's daily activities, and it was obvious that he was having a blast and not missing us one bit!
Nickey was everything we could have dreamed for in a pet sitter. She responded very quickly to the original inquiry, was communicative in advance of her stay, and so friendly and kind. Nickey took amazing care of our dog, and took him on a ton of walks, checked in regularly and was fun to talk to. Our house was in perfect condition when we returned home, and so was our dog. My backyard is fenced in, and gives guests a large romping area. There is also a pond for those water loving breeds. We are also a (new) working goat farm, guests can see the goats from the backyard. We've also added 6 ducks to our farm.

I like to sit down with both owner and client for an hour to talk and observe, and if we can all go for a walk, even better My clients range from size, and age. I've had clients that started at 8 weeks old till their passing. Large breeds are not an issue either, the largest has been a rottweiler and doberman pinscher mix. The hardest part of caring for my clients, is saying goodbye when they pass. Too many over the years, but, alas, that is life. I do prefer crate trained by their owners, but understand that's hard for some. Have cleaned up many a mess found upon entering owners home and have no problem cleaning. I have personal experience administering medicines orally and I have administered meds via needle also.
A typical day
I'm very much an alpha and keep my walks focused on the 3's.... peeing, pooing and marking. Once the first and second are accomplished, we can work on any issues you might have (i.e. seemingly aggressive when meeting strange dogs, jumping or lunging, etc.) or just enjoy the rest of time on our walk sniffing and marking.

Availability
I am a full time petcare provider. I am available to housesit (only) for all five boroughs of NY, plus the NJ area, minimum of 5 days or more, maximum 30 days. As much as I wish I could be everywhere at all times, bookings are scheduled so that I have a day, sometimes 2, to prep and get to next appointment(s).
