S-A-H Dad w/ Time & Space To Play

Pet care experience

My name is Nick and I am a stay-at-home Dad for our energetic, dog-loving two and a half-year-old son and our three-month-old baby boy. Besides myself and our sons, our family consists of my wife and our dog, Tai. Being a full-time stay-at-home Dad your dog will rarely, if ever, be alone. I am very much a homebody and don't often leave our property or the surrounding area aside from going to get groceries or supplies for the chickens and the occasional doctor's appointment. We do have a guest bedroom/dog room where your dog can go to get away from me or my two and a half-year-old son if they want some quite time or need another comfy option for a nap. Heat & cold permitting, we love spending time outside! We spend as much time outdoors as we can each day. We can often be found in our small, but ample, fenced in backyard playing with trucks, digging in the dirt, swinging on the tire swing, or just relaxing on the deck. Our two and a half-year-old son would sleep outside if we would let him! We often go for walks & hikes in the surrounding forest, play fetch with the chuck-it (though our dog, Tai, is not very good about returning with the tennis ball), or walk down the hill to visit our chickens in their enclosures. Our home is located a few miles south of Warrenton, VA. We are conveniently located just 3 miles off Rt. 29 near its intersection with Rt. 17. Our rural setting includes multiple horse farms and a vineyard (Molon Lave) down the road. Our property is a little over one acre with plenty of room to run and play. Our dog, Tai, is a male (neutered) Puggle (Pug/Beagle mix) and is somewhere between 12-13-years-old. He was a rescue so his true age is really anyone's guess. Tai gets year-round heartworm and flea & tick treatments and is fully up-to-date with all of his licenses and vaccinations, including Bortadella. Tai loves being around other dogs and seems to really enjoy playing with even the largest of dogs like our next door neighbor's 130+lb. Mastiff. Our dream is to one day own an extra-large breed dog such as a Great Dane or Mastiff of our own. Let me know when you would like to schedule a Meet & Greet to come see our property and meet our family. We truely look forward to getting to know you and your dog!

Tallee had so much fun staying with Nick! While we were on vacation, Tallee got to go on adventures with Nick and his family. We truly felt so at ease knowing our furbaby was having fun and being treated like family. We definitely think Nick deserves more than 5 stars, as he was so helpful, knowledgeable and communicated with us everyday! The pictures were the best! We appreciate all the love Nick and his wonderful family gave to Tallee!

Nick is an incredible dog sitter! He consistently went out of his way to do everything and anything that would help me and my dog during a very stressful time of my life. I felt so confident that he was in loving hands with Nick and his family. Nick even repaired my dog’s leash! I heartily recommend Nick as a dog sitter, a lovely person with a kind heart.

Our dog Carol seemed to have a great time and we got lots of pics and updates. Nick seems very knowledgeable about dog behavior and care. I'm sure that we will have Carol stay again with them soon!

This is the second time my dog stayed with Nick. This time Jasper, our dog, stayed with Nick for over 2 weeks as we were on a long vacation. He kept us up to date with pictures and messages at the perfect frequency and detail. Nick even took Jasper to Lake Anna and also provide Jasper with a bath before we picked him up.
