I work for a few hours in the morning, but am home the rest of the day. We have a big fenced yard circling our house, replete with plants to pee on, grass to roll in, scents to investigate—lots of good dog stuff. Inside, the house is shady (nice on hot Denver days), full of nooks and crannies to explore and, when that's run its course, plenty of prime nap spots to circle down on. I have one dog now—Marley, a 10 year old, medium-sized collie-mix—who's amiable chap and, when not busy sleeping or eating (two favorite activities), mixes very well with dogs of all sizes. I walk him at least a couple times a day, going around the neighborhood, to City Park (a short walk away), and am happy to bring other dogs along.
