I am a 46 year old female. I have 35 years experience in dog care and service. I grew up in a home with 2 animal loving parents. My mom worked for a veterinarian and my father rescued everything from birds to huge dogs roaming the neighborhood! My mother raised Great Danes and showed them in dog shows. I thought I grew up with horses! At 16, My first job was at a dog boarding kennel, cleaning and helping take care many types of breeds- from small to huge. I loved it! After that, I have worked in veterinarian hospitals. I am very knowledgeable when it comes to foods, medicine, what to look for if they are ill, etc. But what I am most proud of is how many dogs off the streets I have rescued and placed in great homes. I lived in a neighborhood in Sacramento where there were a large amount of abandoned pit bulls and larger breeds dumped there to fend for themselves. I would make sure they weren't chipped, look for their owners and if they were abandoned- I would place them in a home I knew would be a forever home by interviewing the prospective doggie parents. Animals have always been my passion. I Have owned 4 dogs at once!! All rescues. I am down to one. As one passed away, 2 went with my step-children who left home at 19. I'm also ex Military (Air Force). I was also a Nanny and I have always been a house/pet sitter for friends and family. Now that I have more time- I would love to work with dogs as much as possible. I have no biological children. The furry kids are my kids and I will treat yours just as if they were my own!
