Pet care experience
I treat all pets as members of the family, keeping them safe and secure, giving opportunities for exercise, and always respecting their owner's wishes regarding their pets' needs. Currently, I have one 10 year old Labrador and I have cared for pets since I was seven years old. My schedule is flexible. I can accommodate a long-term day schedule to fit your needs or offer boarding for longer stays. Dogs staying at my place will be consistently supervised throughout their stay. I also offer transportation for your convenience if you live within the Monument/Colorado Springs/Fountain area. I have a large fenced yard, with a large dog run away from the sidewalk. My Labrador is friendly; nevertheless, interaction between her and our guests are always supervised during playtime. I always ensure that the fencing is secure. Owners may provide a crate if preferred for overnight boarding. I may have a crate available.

I will ask about the following: 1. Dogs behavior and potential for aggression or destructiveness: does your dog have any trigger points that I need be mindful of? Does your dog get along well with other dogs? 2. How well has your dog been socialized? Again, does your dog get along with other dogs? 3. Is there anything specific that is soothing or comforting to your dog? 4. How frequently does your dog need to be taken outside (potty and exercise)? 5. Do you regularly treat your pet for fleas, ticks, etc.? 6. What is your dog's mealtime schedule?
A typical day
I offer healthy snacks such as all natural homemade treats, baby carrots, and ice cubes if permitted by the owner. The yard is split into two large area where the dogs can play together or separately. Weather permitting, I will spend lots of time outside playing with your pet. If appropriate, my grade school children will give them attention, but only I will be responsible for caring for your pet. If your dog has a special need for additional exercise, I can take him/her for a daily walk.
