Pet care experience
Our Rover adventure began when we considered getting another dog to love and as a companion for our dog Lady. Instead, we found Rover and it worked out great. Sadly, our Lady girl has passed since we began Rover. We continue to enjoy taking care of many dogs, however, whom we consider our extended family. We adopted the newest member of our family, Boots, in April of 2023. She is a sweet 2-year-old labrador retriever mix who loves to play with other dogs but otherwise has a calm demeanor. Boots is still working on her initial greeting with new dogs as she can be overly excited at first.
Reviews
Nichole and Chris were very easy to work with and very communicative. We got regular photo updates of our pup going out on walks and having fun! It was a great experience!
Our very favorite family! They take wonderful care of our dog and are great at communicating.
Nichole and Chris were amazing! Super friendly and sent lots of pictures and updates throughout my puppy’s stay at their house. Nothing but positive things to say!
Great people, very responsive and easy to get along with. Thanks for all the photos. Their pup is kind and fun, our dogs enjoyed the company.

We know it's hard to leave your dog and will send lots of photos so you know they're doing well. On the few occasions when we may have to leave the house, we always make sure that your dog is comfortable and not alone for long. We're happy to crate them inside, let them stay inside with access to the backyard via the doggie door, etc. while we're away. Whatever is most comfortable for your dog works for us.

Information Nichole & Chris N. would like to know about your pet
We would like to know about your dogs' temperament and any special needs or care they require. Please note: - With the canine respiratory virus circulating, we ask that all dogs are up to date on their vaccines. We’ve avoided dog parks, etc. and have been especially vigilant about keeping water bowls clean. As always, we only take up to two dogs at a time from the same family. Thanks for helping us keep all of our furry loved ones healthy!
A typical day
We take the dogs for a walk on most days for about 30 minutes or more, as long as the weather is reasonable to do so. If your dogs are especially strong and pull we'll throw the ball in the backyard, play tug-of-war, etc. in lieu of a walk if we can't physically keep them safe while walking. From time to time, we'll take pups to the off-leash dog park to run and play if it suits their temperament (please note - we're pausing dog parks until we learn more about the circulating canine respiratory virus. Also, we avoid other dogs while on walks).

Availability
We work from home during the work week with a home office in the backyard. Your pup is free to hang out in the office with us or run around the backyard with Boots (we can see them through the sliding glass door). The dogs also have open access to our home at all times through a doggie door. As we've been doing this for several years, you'll notice that the kids aren't as young anymore in the photos. ;) We're a family of five but our oldest son is only home for holidays and summer breaks from college. Your pup will mostly be around Chris and I and our two teenagers.
