I already am a dog walker, branching out with various freelancing. I was raised with dogs - mostly larger ones, but I care for small ones as well. My first job was caring for 2 dobermans (brother and sister). Since then I have had several labs, a terrier, and a lot of mutts. I know how to work with rescues and shy dogs without causing issues. I can be overly detailed in my notes to owners, should anything out of the ordinary occur. I don't believe in bribing dogs to walk or obey. If they earn a treat, they can have one, but I don't just give them one to get them to do something as it develops bad habits. Strict but loving. Comfortable just sitting with them if that's needed. Experience with rescues and older dogs as well as puppies.
