My first memory of a dog is of my grandmother’s Jack Russell Boxer, Howard, whom we affectionately called "The Gentle Giant.” Howard was one of my grandma’s six dogs and was, for lack of a better term, my babysitter. Wherever I went, he followed. Anytime I was about to do something dangerous as a toddler, Howard would stop me. And anytime I was too scared to go down my grandmother’s' large staircase, Howard helped me. At naptime, Howard joined me. I even rode him around the house a few times. Howard was my first best friend and the reason I fell in love with dogs. I want to become a pet sitter in order to meet new and different kind of dogs and help me decide what breed I want to get when I move out and live on my own. My favorite thing about dogs is how simple and honest they are. Love a dog and they'll love you back unconditionally and it feels great to have such a wonderful companion in life. My house has a large back yard with plenty of space for play! It's filled with many dog lovers who cater to our furry friends needs no matter what. I also live in a neighborhood of dog lovers and they're are plenty of parks and beaches nearby perfect for long walks I also have a very open schedule and have time every day of the week to pet sit! I’ll be free until September, when I begin my next semester of college — and even then, I’ll be available 4-5 days a week!
