I have loved animals since I was a little girl, and have been fortunate enough to work with dogs over the last 10 years. I've managed two boarding facilities and have had clients for 5 years who I privately dog sit for. Being able to pet sit allows me to not only continue my passion but it also allows me to really get to know your dog and build a bond that is special. I’ve really enjoyed the time that I’ve spent with dogs, and I just love to take care of them! I don’t have any preferences on breed or size; I love pups of all kinds! I do like to schedule a meet-and-greet before our first stay for all new clients, however. I am very patient with new pups and would of course make sure to make them feel comfortable. I have a Jack Russell Terrier/Long Haired Chihuahua mix myself and her name is Dolce. She is very friendly and always loves to have new friends around the house! With my K9 clients I would get to know their personalities and be patient with them until they get comfortable with me. We would do lots of activities together! I love to get some exercise, cuddle, learn and perform tricks, and give out lots of praise for good behavior. With my human clients I would send lots of detailed updates, photos, and videos of your pup’s comfort level, activities, food intake, and sleep.

Nica is amazing... she watched my little Popot for 5 days and provided updates, photos and lots of love while I was out of the country. What I love most about Nica is she genuinely loves animals and it shows with her kindness and natural care taking ability. Potpot was for sure spoiled with fun at the beach, parks and long walks. I plan to use Nica in the future for other trips and doggie visits :)
Nica's gentle and touching personality has greatly helped my dog to come out of her shell. My dog Lola has always been timid and doesn't like strangers petting or coming near her. Nica has incorporated positive reinforcement (as well as treats) to make Lola less afraid. I highly recommend Nica for dog training, walking, or just basic coaching. She has been a pleasure to work with.
I have been using NIca for about 2 years and can honestly say shes AMAZING. She is my dog "Bandit's" best friend literally, he goes absolutely crazy whenever she arrives. She operates on a level with him that is undescribale her level of care and attention on some days is more than even what i put in. I trust Nica more than anyone with my dog. Due to my work i have to travel a fair bit and she is always there to step up and do whatever is necessary with Bandit. The best is when i get the postcard photos of what they are up to and where they are playing and hanging out. She goes out of her way to really give him the best experience always far more than is asked of her. I would highly recomend her to ANYONE who loves their dog and wants the appropriate care and attention the way they would.
Nica has a special bond with animals. She greets animals with the same respect as people and understands their needs. She is responsible and you can trust your home and animals in her hands. I would recommend Nica's services to any pet owner. There are many dog walkers and trainers but very few that have the same connection and bond with the dogs like nica Does. I have seen dogs at the hotel that have not seen nica for months run up to her and give her a big hug. If you are lucky enough to get a slot in Nicas Schedule you will certainly have the same pleasant experience me and my wife have had.

A typical day
Depending on your pup’s age, personality , and health, we could cuddle, get exercise, play with toys, or anything that they enjoy doing. A scheduled day would be to wake up, enjoy breakfast together, wait 30 minutes and then head out for a nice walk. After the walk, we’ll cool down and get some cuddles in. Later on, we would go for a midday walk followed by an approved treat and playtime in the house. In the evening, we’d have some dinner and then go for one last walk to get ready for bed. Other than that, I love taking my pups on beach side walks! Del Mar, La Jolla, and Balboa Park are my go-to areas. I am active and I spend a lot of time outdoors and with my family and friends.
