Hi everyone!! My name is Niamh, I am 25 years old and I live in Belfast with my partner Gavin. I have been surrounded by dogs from a young age and have always loved them. I volunteer at an animal rescue which has provided me with exposure to many breeds of dogs and their temperaments. I have learned to adapt and how to approach certain breeds, give attention to dogs and space where they need it and ensuring the dog is generally comfortable/ happy in their environment. I give oral medication where needed and can identify some health issues that may need medical attention. I am happy to care for/ walk several dogs at the one time providing the other dogs are comfortable with each other. I am used to dealing with 30+ dogs at a time in the rescue so this would come with great ease. I had a dog myself for 11 years that I lost in March 2020. I have not yet been ready to get my own dog which is why I have put so much time and commitment into rescue dogs that need that need some extra love and affection. I love going for walks around ormeau park, going to the beach and forest walks so would love to take some dogs on my adventures with me!! I work from home which is extremely flexible meaning that I have a lot of time to spend with the dogs throughout my work day. I like to get the dogs out for a long walk in the morning and again at lunch time. Although if the dog is not fit for this I will accommodate for them and only take on a short walk
