I am a dog and cat purr-son.

Pet care experience

I am Peter, and I have a genuine love and passion for animals, both cats and dogs. My experience as a pet owner and pet sitter sets me apart from other sitters. My first pet was a Chihuahua mix whom I raised from a puppy, and I have been dog-sitting my cousins' small to medium-sized dogs over the weekends for years. Additionally, I have also cared for my friend's senior dogs on a regular basis for about a week when they are away on vacation. I am familiar with different breeds and personalities, and I know how to handle energetic dogs, as well as calm ones. I also have experience with cats, and I understand their unique needs and personalities. Furthermore, as a full-time remote worker, my schedule is flexible, which allows me to be available for drop-in visits or dog walks. I am also a proud owner of a white Siberian husky named Winnie, who is spayed, vaccinated, and highly energetic during the evenings but calm during the day when I am working from home. She gets along well with other dogs and is a great companion to have around. I am confident in my ability to provide loving, compassionate care for your furry friends and ensure that they are safe and happy while you are away.

Nhan did a great with our cats, provided updates on their food and took great pictures. He also brought in our mail and helped with the internet at home. So grateful for him to be taking care of our cats. Would highly recommend.

Peter is simply excellent. He immediately made friends with our outgoing cat and may have set a record for getting the shy one to come to him. His daily updates and updates were complete and engaging. And he showed unexpected concern for and attention to our home.

Caring for pets in my home and/or my clients' homes is something that I take very seriously. I understand that pets are members of the family and that it's important to provide them with the best possible care. My approach to pet care includes a few key elements: 1. Safety: I always make sure that the pets in my care are safe and secure, whether they are in my home or my clients' homes. This includes making sure that all gates, doors, and windows are locked, and that any hazardous materials or areas are kept out of reach. 2. Food and water: I make sure that pets have access to fresh water and food at all times, and I always follow the specific feeding instructions that pet owners provide. I also provide treats occasionally as per the pet owners' instructions. 3. Exercise: I make sure that pets get plenty of exercise and playtime, whether it's through walks, playtime in the yard, or other activities. I always keep in mind the pet's physical abilities and tailor the activities accordingly. 4. Medication: If a pet requires medication, I make sure to administer it as per the veterinarian's instructions and keep a track of it. 5. Communication: I always make sure to communicate with pet owners regularly, keeping them informed of their pet's behavior, meals, and medications. Overall, I approach pet care with patience, love, and compassion, and I am committed to providing the best possible care to every pet in my home and/or my clients' homes.

A typical day

When it comes to caring for the dogs I watch, I believe in providing plenty of fun and stimulating activities to keep them happy and entertained. Some of the activities I like to do with the dogs include: 1. Walks: I love taking dogs on walks, and I have several special places that I like to go. For example, I often take my dog on walks in the Greenbridge neighborhood or around my home. I also live near a huge park with a large field and a dog park called Westcrest Park. If the owners have a specific walking path or park that they prefer, I will bring their pets there. I always make sure to ask the owner's permission if I have another place in mind. 2. Exploring the yard: I have a huge fenced yard for dogs to explore, run around, and play. I would let them sniff around and chase their toys. This helps keep them physically and mentally stimulated. 3. Playing fetch: I would always play fetch with the dogs, it is a great way for them to burn off some energy and bond with me. 4. Dog puzzles: I would have dog puzzles to keep them occupied during their stay. This helps keep their minds stimulated and occupied, especially when they are alone or resting. Overall, I believe in providing a variety of fun and stimulating activities for the dogs I watch, and I always make sure to ask the owner's permission before taking them to new places or trying new activities. I am confident that these activities will not only help keep the dogs happy and entertained, but also bond with me. When it comes to caring for cats, I understand that they have unique personalities and needs, and I always make sure to provide individualized care for each cat I watch. In addition to the activities I mentioned earlier, I also include: 1. Playing with toys: I would normally play with the cats using their favorite toys, such as a laser pointer, ribbon, or string. This helps keep them active and mentally stimulated. 2. Give them attention: I would always make sure to give them plenty of attention and pets. Cats need a lot of love and affection, so I make sure to give them plenty of cuddles and playtime. 3. Provide scratching post and hideaway: Cats love to scratch, and I would make sure they have access to their scratching post or their designated area to keep them occupied and entertained. 4. Provide a comfortable bedding: I would ensure that the cats have comfortable bedding, and I would always make sure that their litter boxes are clean and fresh. 5. Communication: Just like with dogs, I would always make sure to communicate with cat owners regularly and keep them informed of their pet's behavior, meals, and medications. Overall, I believe that providing a variety of fun and stimulating activities, including playing with toys, giving them attention and pets, and providing comfortable bedding and scratching post is essential for keeping cats happy and healthy. I am confident that my approach to cat care will provide the best possible care for the cats in my care.

Pet care is an integral part of my daily and weekly routine. As a pet owner and pet sitter, I understand the importance of providing regular care and attention to our furry friends. During the week, when I am working from home, I make sure to take regular breaks throughout the day to check on my own pet, Winnie, and ensure that she has everything she needs. I also make sure to give her plenty of exercise and playtime, both inside and outside in my fenced yard. Additionally, I schedule regular walks and drop-in visits for my pet-sitting clients, ensuring that their pets are getting the exercise and companionship they need while their owners are away. On weekends, I often dedicate more time to pet sitting, including longer walks and overnight stays. I also make sure to keep detailed notes and communicate regularly with pet owners, keeping them informed of their pet's behavior, meals, and medications. Additionally, I always follow any specific instructions or routines that pet owners have in place for their pets. Overall, pet care is a top priority for me, and I ensure that it is integrated seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine. I understand the importance of providing regular care and attention to pets, and I am committed to providing the best possible care to every pet I encounter.
