Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Nev! I love borrowing your pets and lavishing them with love and attention while you're away. My first dog-walking gig was at age 10, when I walked my elderly neighbor Fran's basset hound, Doobie (yes, Doobie). She paid me a quarter each day and a Hershey bar bonus weekends and I loved it! I have been pet-sitting (cats, dogs, ferrets, &c) and dog-walking for my neighbors and local friends for years just because I enjoy it. I also do gardening and care work, but dog-walking is filling a really nice time/energy spot for me. When we are out for a walk, I'm happy to stop for lots of chances to sniff and do business AND lots of romping or covering ground. And lots of chatting, because who doesn’t like to walk and talk? I love walking new places but am also happy to let your dog take me on their favorite standard route (gotta love a creature of habit). I'm a good communicator with a kind and direct style. I HIGHLY recommend Nev. She took wonderful care of our aged terrier Patty for five days. In addition to administering Patty’s medication with care, Nev was very careful to keep her comfortable and quiet, and to give her lots of love. Nev gave us detailed updates every day and was super responsive.
Nev went above and beyond in caring for my dog Marilyn, who is a deaf super senior with poor vision, arthritis, and a special diet. She was communicative, spent the time to get to know Marilyn and her needs, and addressed all of my concerns. Marilyn doesn't usually take to many people, so it's a testament to how compassionate and caring Nev is that I found Marilyn happily wagging her tail and loving on Nev when I went for pick-up. Nev will continue to be my first choice during the times I need help.
We have a very energetic puppy. Nev was great with her. She followed all our care instructions and kept us updated with status and photos. Thanks again!
Nev is a GEM! I needed a babysitter last minite and for using this app for the first time Im glad I found her. What drew me was her profile picture, I saw her next to the beautiful bully breed. My dog is a bully and Link loved her and she loved him. She sent me updates til the last day and she is amazing! If you ever need a dog sitter, Nev os yoir sitter

I'm only dog-walking right now (not boarding). I work close to home, so I'm always walking in areas I'm familiar with when I walk your dog. This lets me avoid heavy traffic areas and construction zones, and maximize squirrel sightings. I'm cautious and attentive in your space and with your entry procedures, and communicate quickly and efficiently with you if anything comes up.
Information Nev T. would like to know about your pet
I have no breed restrictions or preferences. I can work with a dog that needs to avoid other dogs and am also happy to help your dog do meet-and-greets with other dogs on our walks, with your permission.
A typical day
I particularly enjoy tiny nervous dogs, big dogs that are not very bright, long dogs, dogs with one flop ear, stubborn dogs that don't want to go, dogs that yell SQUIRREL, and old dogs that want to take more of a meander than a walk. Dogs that want to take a shower (hi Lucy!), dogs that believe they NEED the cheese (hi Marilyn!), dogs that wanna be under the covers (hi Link!), and dogs who do a little "you said 'walk'!" dance are also particularly welcome (hi Hermes!). Oh and dogs that can fetch in the dark (hey Indie), and on weekends, dogs that want to walk 5+ miles with me (aww, Jordan).

Availability
My gardening work is seasonal and my care work comes and goes, so in the quieter times, I like to get my dog walks in. Being outside in any weather is really my jam, and I love to see the sights with a canine buddy along. I generally work within school-day hours.
