I grew up with dogs my entire life; we had a German Shepherd and a Cocker Spaniel and we all pitched in to take care of them. I consider myself to be very compassionate with dogs and cats, but also know how to handle different dog behaviors with a firm and gentle touch. I have experience with rescue dogs as my sister's dog that I often take care of is one. I care deeply about the dog's well-being as well as how important dogs are to their parents. In the last year, my sister was suffering from leukemia and we adopted a rescue pit/mix, Jessie, to help strengthen her spirits while she was battling cancer. It was an incredible experience learning how to train Jessie, walk her, feed her, and treat her with compassion and in turn, she provided an incredible energy that helped not only my sister but the entire family and continues to do so today. I learn quickly and take directions well. I am prepared to treat your dog the same way I would treat mine by keeping him/her happy, loved, and active.
