Disposition around strangers and other animals, likes/dislikes, energy level, anxiety level? Long walker or less active dog that prefers playing in yard?

Walks. Lots and lots of walks. And lots of socialization. On the trails..around the lakes..Over the river..through the woods...and to grandmother's house (if she's not too busy)....If you're a retriever, chances are I like playing fetch as much as you do. If you're a nosy hound, squirrels should be on notice. We will find them. If you're a fearless terrier, we will very likely see eye to eye, literally while we play in the boneyard. And if you're a dog that has 'been there and done that', we're gonna pace ourselves, stop and smell the weeds, maybe smell other k9s passing by, take it easy and hang out in the grass with plenty of room to be a happy dog. Also worth noting as it relates to the kind of devotion your dog will receive in my care --- I am a stay-at-home engineer and handyman with complete flexibility. When I'm not doing that, I take care of dogs. The point being, when I accept the responsibility of caring for your dog, he/she has my undivided attention. That becomes my "job" and we will have fun :)
