If you are looking for a home away from home for your furry friend, look no further. I come from a family of “crazy dog people,” and our family get togethers look more like a dog farm. I am the only “weirdo” that only has one dog, but I always take the opportunity to help my family and watch their doggies when they go on trips. My dog loves the company and I love all the puppy loves. I figured joining Rover would be a good opportunity for my dog to find other playmates-the money is just an added bonus. I have grown up with cats and dogs in my family and couldn’t wait to get pets of my own. I got my cat, Mysa, in 2015, but waited until I had a fenced yard before getting my dog, Bodi in September 2018. Mysa is indoor/outdoor so if there are any cat issues with overnight pups, I need to know upfront to keep her separated. Bodi is a year old, neutered GSD/Rott/mix and he LOVES to play with any dog that will play with him. He is super friendly and submissive when it comes to other dogs, but his hyper approach can be off-putting to some dogs (those old souls that don’t appreciate the energy of a puppy, in particular). We love to go to the dog park on weekends so he can play with other dogs because he has endless energy, so dog sitting is a way to find other dogs for him to play with and get out some of that extra energy. I work 7am to 5pm on weekdays, but I come home for an hour lunch break and can pop in for an extra potty break throughout the day if necessary. I am also off every other Friday and available for doggy daycare on these days. I require a meet and greet in a neutral location with new dogs to make sure we are all a good fit, and then we can visit my house. Your doggos will be part of the family at my home.
