I was born and raised with animals my entire life. Growing up we had chickens, goats, horses, rabbits, dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, lizards, you name it we had it. I have raised kittens, dogs, birds, goats, and even a squirrel from infants requiring around the clock hand feeding and 24/7 care. I have volunteered at animal shelters and wildlife centers. I love and cherish all critters. As a mother to both human and a fur baby to me it is MUST that both of my babies are well taken care of and left with only the most trusted individuals. I can reassure you I will love and care for your dog as if they are my own. I am home most days, with my 4 year old son and 6 year old mini poodle Lexi. My son has been raised to love, respect, and give animals their space at ALL times. My dog on the other hand likes to act like the queen bee when she first meets a new friend but rest assure she is all talk and no action. She tends to warm up quickly and then goes back to doing what she does best lounging on the back of the couch ;). I have lots of experience with older pets! We recently said goodbye to our 13 1/2 year old yellow lab and a few years prior lost my kitties who were 15 and 19 years old. I have watched numerous dogs and cats some of them required more attention then others because of their age. I am comfortable with giving medication but would ask if your pet is older and needs daily prescribed medication you would provide all your vets information and notify them your dog is in my care prior to leaving.
