I have over 20 years of experience in caring for pets. I was a veterinary technician at a nearby animal hospital for almost 10 years, where I cared for our hospitalized and boarding pets (administering medications/IV fluids, feeding, walking, brushing/grooming, brushing teeth, trimming nails, cleaning ears), prepped animals for surgery, assisted the vets during surgical procedures and examinations, took x-rays, and ran various laboratory tests. I've also volunteered at a local animal shelter, and spent a considerable amount of my childhood on my grandparents' farm, so I'm pretty comfortable around most animals! To me, pets are family! Any animal will be loved, pampered, spoiled, and very well cared for while in my company! I treat any pets in my care as if they are my own! Given all of my experience working with pets, I can handle most emergency situations that may arise, and am able to/comfortable working with senior pets or those with medical conditions or injuries. I am also comforable administering medication(s) to your pet(s) if he/she requires it. I keep a pet first aid kit in my home and in my car, so I always have access to one in emergencies.
