I love dogs more than people in every way. I'm an only child, so my pets have always been my most valued and loved companions in my life. I know that you consider your dog(s) an essential member of the family, and I treat each dog I meet instantly as a member of my own family. I will be taking care of your precious one the right way, which is YOUR way. I would want the same respect from a sitter, so I follow your instructions, in all of its specificity. Apart from raising my own dogs all my life ( my dachshund is reaching 16 years old soon) I started my career as a youngster, working at a boarding kennel. This was years ago, however, as I grew older, the temptation to work with dogs was overwhelming, so I started to do volunteer dog walking in dog shelters in Maryland and also here in Ohio. Now, I find myself at a crossroads with a very open/flexible schedule, and I strongly desire to spend my time nurturing dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages. I also have my own car, so if you want me to take your pup on adventures to local dog parks or on hikes, that's definitely a possibility! I also provide some grooming services such as bathing, teeth brushing, ear cleaning and daily brushing.
