Over the years, I've cat and dogsat anywhere from a week old litter of kittens to a 120 pound, giant, Labrador Retriever, and I've loved every second of it! I have enjoyed getting to know the unique personalities of each dog I meet (and other animals if you have them, I'm not partial, in fact I LOVE cats and even reptiles and rodents!). I volunteered at my local Humane Society for just over a year and that really helped me appreciate animals and it gave me a lot of experience caring for them and I gained so much knowledge about animal behavior and needs. This opportunity gave me the chance to work closely with even the most nervous of dogs, and I enjoyed having the chance to earn their trust and really establish a relationship with them before they found their forever homes. Unless I am traveling myself, I work and volunteer in the area, so my availability is pretty open. My other jobs would be shorter shifts so no more than 8 hours max would a dog be left home if I am staying at the residence. I really enjoy playing with dogs and getting their energy out in fun ways! I love going to dog parks with the dogs, if that's something they're used to. I am comfortable and experienced with dogs that have anxiety, nervousness, are elderly, or have other health issues. Any dog (or creature) is a dog (creature) I will love and cherish!
