Vet Tech available for pet sitting

Pet care experience

Hi! I'm Natalie and I am the pet sitter you are looking for! I became a vet tech over 20 years ago and noticed kennels stressed out our babies and also wouldn't take special needs pets. So I started pet sitting in my home. I have since expanded and now can sit in your home or mine! I am experienced with all kinds of special needs dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens and every other animal you can think of! Medication schedule? No problem at all! You get pics of your babies while you are away, so you can relax knowing they are in loving hands!

I am a nervous dog mom and with good reason: my partner and I have had some not so great experiences when we have been out of town with house sitters. Coupled with that, we are sometimes off-grid and away from cell phone service on our adventures, so it is important to us that we have someone we trust staying with our dogs who can handle anything that might come up. If that sounds like you, too, Natalie is your person! I did not worry in the least while we were away (a rarity for me), and felt confident that our buddies and home were being well taken care of. She kept us updated with photos, videos and notes, which I really appreciated. Bonus, she is a kind and warm person and it was clear she cared for our pups and they connected with her. I recommend Natalie wholeheartedly if you are in need of a reliable petsitter who will care for your fuzzy friends like they are her own.

I can honestly say that I don't know what we would have done without Natalie! My mom's cat was dealing with an illness that she was unable to treat due to her limited mobility. Natalie provided drop-in visits 3 times per week and used all of her incredible knowledge and skills to provide the medicated baths that he desperately needed. She was reliable, generous, and so incredibly kind to us. She truly went above and beyond. My mom's cat is now happy, healthy, and thriving thanks to Natalie. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone, especially those with special-needs pets!

I have a fenced yard, and although I have dogs and cats of my own, they all get along with other babies. I also have a two family setup here, so if your baby needs to be separated, they can board downstairs with me, while my babies are upstairs with my son. I allow animals on my couch and bed at night, but will respect if you do not allow them on furniture.

Information Natalie C. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog or cat requires medications or special diet or care. I am well versed in all of these. In fact, my girl has a medical condition and can only eat prescription food and gets meds three times daily. Oral meds and injections are no trouble for me. Testing blood sugars on diabetic animals is something I am experienced in also. Being a vet tech allows me to be able to care for special needs pets who need that extra attention.

A typical day

On a typical day, your baby will be a part of the family. This means they will be allowed on the bed (if you allow that at your house), they will run around the large yard in the morning, when we nornally have a game of fetch or find it! We usually have quiet mornings, but during the day your babies will be stimulated with dog games, or kitty loves. I do tend to put on Dog TV if we are sitting and the TV is on!

I currently work dayshift, but can run back on lunches if your babies need medications or to be let out during the day (depending on distance from town). I also have a son who helps out as needed and can run and let babies out if you are further out. If you choose to board at my house, someone is always home!
