We are happy to accept pups who are dog friendly, cat friendly, and crate trained! My husband Kevin and I have 14 years of experience with dog handling, We have been dog sitting since April 2009. During that time we have also fostered 102 dogs, and 71 cats of all ages from puppies/kittens to hospice. We have extensive experience with all breeds and temperaments of dogs, as well as first aid, pet CPR, and medication administration (including insulin).

Every dog who comes to our home gets a chance to make friends! To make sure your pup would be a good match for our home we ask to do a meet and greet before their stay. This ensures that everyone (2 legged and 4 legged!) gets along with each other. We are available for Meet & Greets Monday-Friday, Preferably late morning/early afternoon. While staying here, we encourage reinforcing good habits and working on bad habits. We use positive reinforcement with praise and treats to work on sitting and waiting politely for the door and for meals, no jumping up, etc. Our yard is completely fenced in with a 6 foot tall privacy fence. Both entrances are double gated and clipped shut to prevent any door dashing or nosing open the gates :)

Information Natalie Ann M. would like to know about your pet
What we need to know: *Is your dog/cat up to date on their vaccines? If not, is there a medical reason? *Is your dog crate trained? *Is your dog house trained? (Pee pads don't count. Dogs who aren't house trained will be charged the puppy fee) *Is your dog good with cats? (If you're not sure how dog is with cats we can test them at our meet and greet.) *Is Your dog a fence jumper? *Does your dog try to dart through doors? *Does your dog resource guard toys or food? (Saying yes will not disqualify your dog to stay here, we just need to know beforehand for everyone's safety) *Does your dog have separation anxiety? We do not take dogs who have separation anxiety (breaking crates, barking/howling/crying excessively while in the crate, defecating/urinating from stress of being in a crate, etc).
A typical day
Schedule: *Note - I try to stick as close to this schedule as possible, but life does happen. Changes may happen if someone runs late, the pups sleep in, or I have something like a doctor's appointment, etc. 9am - Wake up! Potty time, play time. Get those wiggles out! If it's nice out, we're outside until breakfast! 9:30am - Breakfast time! Everyone goes into their crates for breakfast. After breakfast we have a rest period for digesting. 10:30am-7pm Play time is on! We're out for the day! The only time pups will see crate time during this time is if we have a meet and greet or if a new friend is being dropped off/picked up. 7:30pm-8:30pm Dinner time! Same as breakfast. 8:30pm-1am play time again! 1am - last potty breaks, then it's bed time. All pups are crated up for the night.
