I love all kinds of animals, especially babies, I care deeply for their wellbeing, and nurturing is just very natural to me. When I was a kid, my family raised a huge dog from puppyhood to old age, Barney the giant, who could jump up and put his paws on my father's shoulders. Barney was a diabetic and I learned how to give him insulin injections. I can deal with any level of dog energy. I have some awareness of behavioral psychology and would be able to maintain your dog's training routine. I am conscientious, communicative, compassionate, and nerdy about animal care. My house has a great backyard (for central Southeast Portland) where a dog would love to run and play, and I live next to Laurelhurst Park (with off leash area!) I currently have two house rabbits, a young cat, and two chickens, and I am familiar with the ways different kinds of pets interact with each other.
