Providing one-on-one care as a dog-sitter is a unique and meaningful opportunity for me. When I worked at a local daycare and boarding facility, I found that the immensity of the task at hand--with thirty dogs in a playgroup--was not the ideal environment for most pups. Dogs are much happier and more comfortable in my warm and welcoming home or in theirs! I’m passionate, caring, and fun...and absolutely animal crazy. I have worked on horse farms, at a racetrack, and at dog kennels. I enjoy being around all animals, and learning all about their unique personalities! I got my first pet bunny when I was four, and have had pets and animals in my life ever since. Spending time with my dog is the best thing in the world. We go hiking and biking together. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family. During the summer months, I try to spend as much time as possible outside. I go to Del Mar race track spend time on dog-friendly patios, and enjoying time on the water. My dog make me wildly happy, so I include her in as many activities as I can. Lyra is my tiny, shy, Shiba Inu/Dachshund mix. She has been exposed to many types and sizes of dogs and people. I also have one cat, Darla. She likes to hang out solo in the master bedroom. She keeps to herself and enjoys observing the dogs from behind the pet gate. I am very transparent. I like to send lots of photos and updates to let you know how your pet is doing. I’ll stay alert to your needs, your pup’s energy and cues, and follow your instructions carefully. I understand wanting to know exactly how my dog is doing, and if she is enjoying herself. I live in a three-bedroom, three-bath house in super dog-friendly community. A small park with trails is just a short walk from my home. I go there daily with my own dog, and any guests that visit. There are three dog parks within a 20-minute drive.
