Large-Breed Lover & Expert

Pet care experience

○ Please be aware that my work schedule sometimes requires me to leave your pet alone for up to 6 hours at a time. I cannot modify my work schedule to accomodate the needs of Rover clients. If your pet needs round-the-clock supervision, I am not a good fit! ○ As a toddler, my first word was "doggy", so it was no surprise to anyone that I grew up to be the local "dog whisperer"! I was friends with and loved every dog in my neighborhood, including the curmudgeonly ones who didn't like anyone. As an adult, the natural energy I have with animals has been honed as I have been trained in numerous fields of pet care. I have experience working with and caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas, mice, rats, ferrets, leopard geckos, crested geckos, bearded dragons, iguanas, snakes, fish, songbirds, and chickens! I have worked as a dog and cat nutrition expert, an assistant dog groomer, a doggy daycare attendant, and a receptionist at a high-volume veterinary clinic. I believe in early socialization, positive reinforcement training, excellent quality feeding, and lots of cuddle time. I am excited to meet your pets!

Natalee did an amazing job taking care of our two dogs and was really great about keeping us updated throughout the stay. Our pups were happy and relaxed when we came home so they clearly had a great time hanging out with Natalee!

Natalee was great. She was very professional and communicative. She sent videos and updates regularly and did everything asked of her. Our dogs seemed happy and worn out when we came back. Would book again in the future.

Safety, trust & environment

While caring for my client's pets in their home, I try to create a schedule that resembles their pet parents' that will make them feel more comfortable with my prescence. When I have other obligations, I try to remain flexible without straying too far from the pet's norm. This is true for all the services I currently offer—keep things routine and familiar will not only help your pet's anxieties, but they keep me focused and healthier, too.

Information Natalee C. would like to know about your pet

• Does your pet have any dietary restrictions I need to be aware of? • Is your pet allowed on furniture? • Are there any routines, daily rituals, etc. that your pet is accoustomed to that would make my stay with them more comfortable? • Does your pet have any difficult behaviors that I should be aware of? Fear aggression, pulls on the leash, jumps out of car windows, not housebroken, things of that nature?

A typical day

I will dedicate myself to moving at your pet's pace and using better judgement to determine what activities they'd like to partake in. If you don't regularly walk your dog and the leash causes some anxiety, we won't walk. Conversely, if your pet needs lots of exercise, I'm happy to walk them to a nearby park, play in a fenced-in backyard if you have one, or play with their favorite toy. My top priority is your pet's comfort; I want to earn their trust and never cause them stress while you're away.

I started a new job in January 2024 as a Client Service Coordinator at Banfield. I love my new job very much, but sometimes I'm scheduled to work long shifts, even up to 11hrs! On the days I work 6+ hours, I get an hour-long lunch break, which I always spend with the pets under my care on that given day. However, on days such as those, I may be stuck at work for periods of up to 6 hours without being able to provide potty breaks or supervision. If this is okay with you, awesome—but if not, I would recommend a sitter who either works from home, does petsitting as their main source of income, or consider boarding through Rover. I understand this new change to my availability may be frustrating to clients I've had in the past who have pets who need more time with humans than I'm now able to provide. This career change has opened many doors for me, and I appreciate the flexibility of the clients who I am still able to sit for. ☺️
