I love working with dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages, and backgrounds! Like people, pups are individuals, and they each have their own needs, strengths and challenges. I look forward to helping to provide what your dog needs to thrive! A bit about me: Evidence shows that dogs respond best to positive reinforcement and consistent leadership from their humans–this is what I aim to provide my canine pals. For the last two years, I have taken weekly dog training classes so that I am always improving my communication skills with my very active girl, Ernie. Ernie is a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog. I am comfortable working with dogs of all energy levels, as well as those who are reactive and/or anxious. If you have any particular training goals with your dog, please let me know!

Naomi had a regular walking schedule with a professor's dogs during college. Additionally during her work on a sheep farm she cared for and helped train the newest farm pup. Whatever guidelines you set she will follow and consistently go the extra mile to keep your pets both safe and happy.

Dogs staying with my in my home will be supervised 100% of the time. They are welcome on our couches and bed and are free to roam our doggie-safe apartment. My home is a 1 bedroom apartment, so we take advantage of walks, lots of potty/sniffing breaks on my lawn, and other activities to keep life zesty. While my own dog is crate-trained, I am happy to accommodate dogs who are not crate-trained. I do not have a fenced yard, so dogs are leashed at all times when we leave the house. We have lovely parks in the neighborhood where I will take your dog for some fun and relaxing outdoor time. I am happy to follow any routines you have created with your dog to maintain continuity, as well as to provide any special care (medication, extra exercise, etc).

A typical day
My dog is a certified Trick Dog and is also training in nose work. I love finding activities that play to the individual strengths of each dog. Depending on what your dog loves most, I can set up sniffing games, puzzles, trick training, as well as the classics of toy time, fetch, tug, and cuddly couch time. Let me know what your pup enjoys!

I work from home part time as I pursue graduate studies. My schedule is flexible as long as I'm given enough time in advance to make the adjustments.
