Loving Veterinary Professional

Pet care experience

Very experienced pet care professional- both with pet sitting and in the veterinary field. I've always loved animals more than anything and I knew from a young age that I wanted to work with them. I got my first job in a specialty/emergency clinic at the age of 18 and worked in the field for 18 years. Most of my time has been spent as a doctor's assistant in specialty and emergency clinics. The last five years specifically I've worked in emergency, where one of my many job duties was to triage emergency calls and determine when pets needed to be evaluated. I also would frequently give clients demonstrations on medication and fluid administrations. I have a knack for calming pets and making them feel comfortable, my best friend jokingly calls me Snow White because I’m constantly getting pets to cuddle with me. These skills have come in handy with all of the pet sitting I have done for clients over the years- making sure that pets remain safe and happy while their parents are away and performing treatments on special needs animals. You can rest assured that my warmth and love for animals combined with my extensive skill in veterinary care will provide the perfect safe and loving environment for your pet(s).

On short notice, the incredible Naomi once again stepped into the role of Rusty's companion while we were away on business, taking to the scenic trails in LA. Their days were packed with hikes where Rusty explored new smells and sights, countless walks, and, of course, endless sessions of Rusty's favorite sport—ball chasing. They also had their chill moments, lounging and snuggling on the veranda like old pals, soaking in the serene vibes and probably discussing the finer points of squirrel-chasing strategies. And Naomi continued her streak of leaving the house in such pristine condition that I'm convinced she might actually have a magic wand. It's the only explanation for how she manages to leave no trace behind while creating memorable experiences for Rusty. Rusty's stay with Naomi was everything we hoped for and more. It's clear he's not just going on walks; he's making memories with a friend. Naomi, you've officially become Rusty's favorite human (don't tell the other humans). Thanks for taking such great care of him!

This weekend, Rusty, our ball-obsessed golden retriever, embarked on an epic staycation with the phenomenal Naomi. From the get-go, Naomi was the epitome of a dog sitter—communicative and so polite. Naomi, alongside her visiting friend, took regular walks with Rusty to explore the neighborhood. And not only did they keep Rusty's paws busy with endless games of fetch, ensuring he lived his ball-chasing fantasies to the fullest, but they also made sure he soaked up plenty of that glorious outdoor essence. Rusty was living his best life, basking in the great outdoors and we just know Rusty's tail wagged constantly with pure joy. Naomi left the house in such an impeccable state that we started questioning if they were ever really there. It was as if a team of invisible elves had come in, ensuring not a single trace of their presence was left behind. Astonishing! The best part? Rusty, exhausted from his exhilarating weekend, passed out cold the moment Naomi and her friend bid us adieu. The level of fun and fulfillment he experienced was evident in his peaceful, snoring slumber. Rusty didn't just have a great time; he made two new best friends! Thank you, Naomi, for not just watching over Rusty, but for giving him the time of his life. Your service isn't just appreciated; it's paw-sitively extraordinary!

Naomi is amazing! My pets absolutely adored her and she left our place spotless. She was patient despite issues with parking and a leak while we were gone! Your fur babies will be in amazing hands. I would book Naomi again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend.

Wow. Wow wow wow. What can I say about Naomi?! I have already been singing her praises to every dog owner in my neighborhood. She is an absolute gem of a dog sitter and human being, and you would be lucky to have her watch your pet!!! Not only is Naomi a trained veterinary technician, she has a heart of gold and will send you the sweetest photo updates to make you feel safe and secure when leaving your little one. I had to leave my 15 year old dog for my longest vacation yet, (and I never leave her side). Not to mention she developed a terrible eye issue a couple weeks before my trip! Needless to say I was extremely stressed, and thought about not going to Hawaii. But Naomi came to hang with Monkie a few days before and made us feel totally at ease. When I returned from the trip, Naomi had basically healed my dogs eyes with her expert eye drop skills and also administered her regular daily medications with flying colors. I came home after a week to a clean and warm home, and a happy, loved dog. To say I’m grateful is an understatement. Thank you so very much, Naomi!!! Monkie hopes to see you again soon!! ❤️

Safety, trust & environment

Having been in veterinary emergency for so long, I am well versed on important tools to minimize the risk of accidents- from preventing exposure to food/plants that are toxic to keeping dogs safe on walks. I feel extremely comfortable caring for sick and injured pets as well and know when to make judgement calls for care. I think it's helpful for pets to remain in the comfort of their own home while their parents are away and I am an extremely respectful house guest- keeping the house tidy and helping with any other special tasks like plant care for extended trips. Although I'm a very experienced pet sitter, I am new to Rover and happy to provide outside references for previous clients or colleagues.

A typical day

I am an extremely active person and feel incredibly grateful to live in a place with so much nature ! I love going on hikes and having a pet companion with me, my favorite place to take dogs is on the trails in Griffith Park- as long as it isn’t too hot out for them. Aside from hikes, I love cuddling with them while I work and playing around the house.
