Pet care experience
I have had pets in my life for as long as I can remember, and have ALWAYS loved giving them all the attention they deserve :) I currently have a miniature Australian Shepherd named Gooseberry who is a nervous girl, so I have personal experience with reactive dogs. I have taken Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced pet training classes with her and would love to help teach your dog some tricks as well! I am also a volunteer at the Minneapolis Animal Care and Control center where I walk the dogs up for adoption, play with the cats, and help new pet owners through the adoption process.

Naomi was very patient both with our anxious dog and with the limited communication ability we had on our vacation. She took plenty of great photos of her checkins and was even gracious enough to use her own treats when our supply ran out.
Naomi was great! She took great care of AMow, was very communicative, and sent loads of pictures! Despite us being gone for the long weekend, we know he was happy and well-cared for!
Naomi did a great job checking on my cat twice a day! She was friendly, dependable, responsive and provided detailed updates and photos. I recommend Naomi and will ask her again in the future!
Naomi did such an awesome job taking care of our kitties! She was super responsive, excellent at following instructions, took great care of our home, and even left the kitties a little parting gift which was super sweet. Overall, I’m super pleased and highly recommend her services!

I have a miniature Australian shepherd who tends to be reactive towards other dogs and people, so I am extremely used to keeping my head on a swivel during our walks and when I’m taking her out potty. I usually have a high value reward with to help in situations where she spots something to get her attention on me so we can get out of sight of whatever she’s reacting to. Lots of practice with this, and working at the MACC has given me a lot of practice reading dog and cat body language to understand what they want and need from me in terms of level of interaction. I’ve been doing Rover for about 1 year now and have had nothing but great experiences meeting and taking care of new pets :)

A typical day
I love taking my dog to swim at Lake Josephine! We also go to Dickman Park and BF Nelson Park. If your dog likes car rides, I love driving around or out to Minnehaha Falls and have a seatbelt for dogs in my car. I know how to teach a variety of tricks and helpful commands like sit, down, wait, stay, place, up, bow, spin, shake, touch, kiss, middle, speak, and even the names of their toys!

Availability
I currently work Tuesday through Saturday and could do drop in visits/walks in the morning before or in the evening after my shift. It’s typically a 9-5:30 but it fluctuates from time to time by a few hours. It can also be flexible if you need a mid-day visit, I would probably be able to do a long lunch to accommodate that. Just ask! Weekends I am totally available to give your pets some love anytime!
