I am wild about dogs. Having been smitten with our Dalmation pups when I was just two years old, I guess puppy love is in my DNA. I'm now a very active grandmother working at home who finds herself without a pet for the first time in 40+ years (minus a 6 month grieving period between pets). My four legged family members were golden retrievers and labs, for the most part. My daughter has two whippets who I watch when I'm in MN--fun, affectionate, responsive dogs....I've had experiences with all kinds of animals but I so miss having a dog to pet and play with. I'm an avid exerciser, so I'd never make a couch potato out of your fur baby--unless you like it that way (I love a canine movie buddy!) I'm happy to say that dogs sense my appreciation of them and we learn to trust each other very quickly. Your dog(s) will become a cherished member of my family--and I'll hate to let them go when you return. I will consider any well-behaved affectionate dog for in home care. I am happy to walk any dog who has had lead training, or I can train them to the lead if you like. If you own a cat I would have to come to you. I have mild allergies so must restrict our interactions to your home. I live in a very nice townhome--access to the outdoors is very easy and I have a pet policy with my landlord. I want my guests to feel at home: therefore, I will watch multiple animals from a single household or proven doggy friends from other households. If, while you are out of town, you need mail or newspapers picked up, or a couple of breakfast supplies for your return, just let me know. Your trip out of town, your time at work should be pleasant and free of pet-worry.
