There's a "doggie" door into a 6' high fenced large back yard that my dogs & cats use. As Scarlett is "special", she sometimes needs to be let out the traditional way, through the people door. I've owned and have hosted elderly, deaf & blind dogs. They just need a special kind of love & care. I'm retired now so am home to play with all the puppies (all dogs are puppies at heart especially my goofy Scarlett ). So your puppy will have people company most of the time they're visiting. My family (me, 2 dogs & 4 cats) have hosted 4 legged canine friends for the past 10 years. Being home all the time allows us to open our home to puppies on a regular basis.
